How to Play Music Guess

Rules, scoring, and pro tips.

The Goal

Your goal in Music Guess is simple: guess the mystery song in 6 tries or fewer from the shortest audio clip possible.

Press the round Play button (or hit Space) to hear the first 1-second intro of the mystery song.

Type any part of the artist's name or song title into the search bar and select your guess from the list.

Not sure yet? Click Skip or submit a guess to unlock more of the track (up to 30 seconds).

Guess the song within 6 tries to see the album art, listen to the full 30-second preview, and share your score with friends!

In Party Mode lobbies with friends, scoring is calculated with bonuses:

Base Solve Points: +500 points for guessing correctly.
Accuracy Bonus: Up to +500 points depending on which try you solve on.
Speed Bonus: Up to +300 points based on how quickly you guess before the 30-second round timer runs out.
Quick Draw: +250 extra points for the first player in the room to get it right.

Wear Headphones: Phone speakers often miss quiet guitar intros or drum beats in the first second.
Listen for Producer Tags: Many modern songs have recognizable signature drops right at the beginning.
Narrow Down the Era: Knowing whether a track is 80s synthpop or 2000s R&B makes guessing much easier.
Use the Skip Button: If you have no idea, skipping to hear 4 seconds is better than wasting guesses on random songs.
